Matt and I have been planning a trip to Seattle for our 4th Anniversary for a few months and we're so excited we actually went through with it. Our good friends Josh and Angela Hart came with us to celebrate their Anniversary too. The Plank's were supposed to meet up with us in Seattle, but they were on standby and couldn't make a flight. We are sad they couldn't be there, but we're already plotting our next trip to make up for it!

Ange and I on the plane.
There was a crazy guy sitting behind us that had a supposed $285 cowboy hat taking up a whole overhead carriage space above us and wouldn't let anyone use the space, even when they asked nicely...seriously guy?!

At the Seattle airport

We were glad to experience the Seattle rain...for about 10 minutes! We brought umbrellas with us but after spending a few hours in the city, we realized that no one was using them. Apparently the wind isn't very conducive to carrying an umbrella, so we just looked like typical tourists.

Josh got sick of walking and decided to ride this thing instead...

We found our way to Pike's Place Market where all the fresh seafood, flowers and produce are well known for in Seattle. Too bad Matt and I don't like seafood!!

The tulips were beautiful! I secretly wanted Matt to buy me some, but it wasn't very practical!

Squid...yummy!!

This is the place where the fish market employees throw the fish in the air for the costumers to catch. Josh got thrown a fish his way, which he clumsily dropped to the floor. Good thing it was a fabric dummy fish...it comes to no surprise that Matt was rolling with laughter! Wish I had a picture of that!

After Pike's Place, we walked down to the pier to see what we could do.

We thought about paying to go to the aquariam, but then decided it would be more fun if we had kids and instead decided to dodge the rain and take random pictures in the aquariam lobby.

Ange made me do it!

Oh Ange...

After we realized how confusing Seattle's streets are, we found our way to McCormick's and Schmicks for dinner. It was okay food, but the surprise dessert was worth the visit!

We ended the night with a soak in the hot tub. I'm impressed with how much we did in just a half day in Seattle!

Twinners...everybody thought we were sisters...I'm ok with that!
