Happy 27th Babe!!

It seems like any age after 25 is just old and today Matt is celebrating his 27th birthday...lucky for me Matt has held on to his boyish good looks!! :) It so hard to figure out what to get Matt for his birthday since it's right after Christmas, but he better watch out...I might be throwing a few suprises his way!! I thought I would mention a few of the many things that I love about Matt: 1. People ask me how I keep my house so clean...well, it's because I get a lot of help from Matt. He mops, vacuums, washes and vacuums the cars every Saturday, takes out the garbage, puts his things away, and he's not opposed to cleaning a toilet or bath here and there. 2. He's an amazing daddy! It's no wonder why Ty says his name all day. Whenever Matt gets home from work he makes sure to take some time to play with Ty. They usually have a tickle and giggle fest...it's really cute! 3. Matt loves to tease! Ever since he was little he's been jumping out behind dark places to scare anybody that will fall for it. In fact that's how he proposed to me...by hiding in my closet. I think teasing is Matt's way of lighting the mood and getting a smile out of someone...and definitely a reaction! 4. Matt is spiritual! Matt comes from a great family and has learned many great habits. Like regular temple attendance, magnifying your calling, goal setting, family and personal prayer and scripture study, FHE, etc. He's usually the first one to say something when we start slipping in one of these areas. 5. Matt is Organized! Many people know that I call Matt OCD and I'm pretty sure he really is, but it is good. Matt seems to always get leadership positions or callings because of his talent of organizing! We both really like a clean organized house...it keeps things manageable and sane! 6. Matt is Forgiving! Matt loves me, despite my crazy emotions, and ways of thinking. Matt and I think on different sides of the brain. He is logical, analytical...I am a fantasizer, creative, artsy.. and it's hard for me to see things in his perspective, but at the end of the day he loves me for who I am and laughs at my fiestiness! 7. Matt has a great Smile! It's hard not to smile when Matt is smiling and it's even harder not to laugh when he's laughing. Although he sounds a little bit like a hyena (maybe that's part of why I laugh too) it's difficult not to laugh along with him. That's one of the reasons I married him! 8. Willing to make Adjustments! Matt has very strong principles and standards for himself, but when he knows there's something that can be improved upon, he's willing to talk about it and take steps to make the change. Although it may not be an immediate process, he always seems to come around! 9. He Loves Family! Matt is a family guy. He loves to spend time with both of our families. We're lucky to have two very involved families. Although Matt can't get to every family event, he makes a good effort (for me) to make it there. 10. Matt is Low Maintenance! Although he likes to have nice things, Matt never acts like he needs anything. When I asked him what he wanted for Christmas or his birthday, he just said, " I don't need anything." What a nice compliment to me and to his Heavenly Father, that he's content with what he has and he doesn't feel the need to improve his collection of material possessions! I love you babe! You make me a better person! Happy Birthday!!
